I have a tattoo behind my ear I got last year in October. The original sketch looked really nice and I had asked them to add color to it, green for mental health awareness and purple and teal for suicide awareness. As the color settled in and healed it looks more like a bruise and the actual butterfly reads more like a mermaid tail to people that see it. I was wondering if there was a chance at lightening it and having a go at getting something that reads more butterfly. I was told that the spot I chose I couldn't have any detail because it's a tight fit? I was hoping there was someone that could do fine line work and make this into something really special for me. Attached is my current tattoo. I'm unsure what my options are but I'm open to creative license.
